Cane Creek, Tennessee

“I’ve had seven wives. None of them worked out. I’ve got girlfriends. But it is just me here. People make sure I’m okay. They stop in all of the time. They even follow me home sometimes, just to make sure I get here alright. And I’ve got food. I’ve got four freezers full. Three deer, okra, tomatoes, squirrels, catfish... I’m never going hungry. That’s for sure. They call me the Tennessee Santa Clause. I used to dress up every year. I went around to the houses for the kids and handed out presents. I also met a lot of ladies in the bars. But I’ve handed that off to someone else now. He doesn’t have the real beard like I did, he paints it on. I had the real thing.”
