"To be most happy, I would go back to the province in Thailand where I was born to their small village. That is what would make me most happy. I would help my parents out on their family. I would fam and take care of the elephants, cows and water buffalo. I would help my parents with small errands. When I am able to, to be frank, when I get the money to do it, that is what I will do with my life. If I could do it right now, I would.

I would farm and take care of the elephants, cows and water buffalo. I would help my parents with small errands. When I am able to, well, to be frank, when I get the money to do it, that is what I will do with my life. If I could do it right now, I would.”

“My son was born three months premature. He is my miracle baby. They say he has ADD and insist on giving him medicine for it, but I don’t think he does. I like who he is without the medicine. He doesn’t need it. When he’s not on medicine, he is different. When we visited my family in Thailand last year, he wasn’t on it, and he snuggled up with me, hugged me, and was with me like glue. He’s watched his father go through depression and watches all of the pills he takes, so I think my son sees him and thinks it is natural, and he is supposed to as well.”

He doesn’t need it. When he’s not on medicine, he is different. When we visited my family in Thailand last year, he wasn’t taking any of his normal medication.  He snuggled with me, hugged me, and was with me like glue. He’s watched his father go through depression and watches all of the pills he takes, so I think my son sees him and thinks it is natural, and he is supposed to as well.”

“Most kids my age don’t do websites. The first time I did one, my teacher called our house - my dad had to move the phone away from his ear when she saw it. She was really excited. This is my cave down here. It’s where I do all of my work. What we’re looking at here is the code and stuff that makes up the program. It should have elevator music playing alongside it. It is pretty boring. This is the stuff you guys ... No, I never want to say ‘your kind’ because all of us are different…. but it is just the stuff non-programmers normally see. I finished this one in about twenty minutes. It is for our holocaust unit at school that’s due tomorrow. You can type in different questions and receive an answer from a holocaust survivor back.”

"Cincinnati is more of an acquired taste. I actually lived here for two years for school and really hated it. But I went away and realized I missed it. So I came back. It's a real rag-tag kind of city full of all kinds of people. You just have to find your place in it."

"My favorite animal is the warthog. The first one I got was from my boyfriend a long time ago. He gave it to me as we were driving in the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee... and it just kind of stuck."

A bit of a funny update…

Hey Humans! It is me, Alyssa, here. It looks like the city of Ashtabula, Ohio & Canada like you all quite a bit. They’ve put us on the inter-web, in print, & on the radio waves. And while, as you can see, I am quite behind in posting (I apologize- the rest are coming soon, I promise)- I rolled into Owen Sound, Ontario late last night-the ultimate terminus on the Underground Railroad. I’m hunkering down for a couple of days to soak it all in, before heading down to Ann Arbor, Michigan. My final destination. Whew. What a ride. My legs need a little rest. Keep in touch on here. Hearing from each of you makes my day. Love to you all!

"We came here back in high school and after we were here, our principal was really impacted by this painting. He wanted it up in our school. So he got transparencies of it. We were really interested in art, so we helped out and painted it at our high school. It is still there today. We came back today to the museum with our university. We are seniors this year."

“We came here back in high school and after we were here, our principal was really impacted by this painting. He wanted it up in our school. So he got transparencies of it. The both of us were interested in art, so we helped out and painted it at our high school.  It took us two to three months, and it was a lot of work.  But it is still there today. We came back today to the museum with our university. We are seniors this year.”
